General Information
European Credit System – ECTS and local grading
The European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) had been established by the European Union to enhance the mobility of students. Each course of a university, which takes part at the ERASMUS-program, has a certain value of ECTS-Credits, depending on workload. An incoming student should attain 30 Credits per semester/60 Credits per academic year.
Next to the ECTS-Credits you will get a mark (local grade: 1,0–5,0) for each course, which shows the quality of the performance regarding the written or/and oral exam.
